Delegation can make or break the opportunity that you have to develop great leaders. The way you delegate to the leaders that you are raising up is vital to the growth and development of their leadership. A common issue that a lot of pastors have as they are delegating is that they do not understand what to delegate. Should you delegate big tasks or small tasks? Are the responsibilities that you are delegating to someone helping them grow? These are the types of questions that you will learn the answer to in this video.
Another problem that pastors face when it comes to delegation is that they realize that there is a need for more delegation, but there is nobody to delegate to. In times like these, it is important that you realize the importance of the process that you need to take in order to set yourself up for delegation. If you have not raised anyone up as a leader, there will be nobody to delegate to.
The attitude that you should be taking towards delegation is one of improvement. Delegation can improve every area of the church. It can improve the leader who is delegated to, the person who is delegating, and the church as a whole. This will only happen if delegation occurs in a proper way. If you are not careful, delegation can create problems in your church that are hard to fix.
