Once you have solidified the steps required in order to maintain the vision of your church, you need to continuously evaluate your progress and celebrate your successes. Sitting down with your team to discuss the specifics that make your vision come to life can help you identify whether you have been succeeding or lacking in certain areas. From there, you can celebrate a job well done and understand how to move forward with your vision.
A great way to check yourself as a church, is by setting goals to reach by a certain time that your team agrees will push you towards the overarching vision of the church. These goals could be departmentalized, staff-wide, or even as an entire church. Whatever these goals are, they should be measurable. Measurable goals let you look at the successes, as well as the problems, and understand what the potential solutions could be. You won’t know what it means to be on track without any goals!
The best way to repeat a win as a church, is to analyze the success of your events or services. Understanding exactly why something went well will let you keep things in motion that seem to be effective as well as eliminate methods that do not work. Ask yourself or your staff, why was service so good this week? How did we create the atmosphere we wanted? What worked and what did not?
