When you accepted the call to ministry, hopefully you realized that this would not be easy. If not, you are in for a surprise. If you have been in ministry for any length of time, you understand that being a pastor is tough. Attempting to define the one main reason that pastoring is so difficult impossible. The reality is ministry is difficult for a multitude of seemingly endless reasons. With that said, there is immense reward and benefit for the Kingdom of God when we are faithful to the mandates of our pastoral calling. Here, we are unpacking the difficulties of being a pastor and how they affect your leadership.
The first thing that we want to accomplish in this video is to provide you with an understanding of the specific difficulties of pastoring. This will allow you to identify points of struggle so that they do not blindside you in ministry. Understanding the potential discouragements and difficulties before beginning your pastor role, or the rest of it, is key. We want to raise your awareness when it comes to these difficulties so that you are mentally equipped.
Next, we want to unpack these difficulties in a way that allows you to move forward. Later in this series, we will dive into the specifics of dealing with difficulties in ministry. However, in this video, our focus is to equip you with mental preparedness for the difficulties to come. As you prepare for the rest of your vocational ministry, these are the things that you need to be ready for.
