How to Trim the Church Budget Without Losing

Knowing how to properly trim the church budget is a necessity for all pastors. There comes a time in the life of virtually every church that the income expectations in any given year fall short of projections. And when that happens, it’s time to start looking at trimming the church budget. Not a fun project, but a necessary one, none-the-less.

The wise and discerning pastor takes seriously the responsibility to spend the church’s money in a God-honoring way. As well, the pastor should seek wise counsel from board and staff members to make the best decisions possible to trim the church budget to match the income.

In today’s video, we take time to walk churches through what they need to do when, for whatever reason, income fails to meet expectations. While we certainly want to encourage all churches to continually grow generosity in their people, there are times when examination of the church’s budgeted expenses has to come front and center.
