When you are delivering a message, there are intentional steps that you can take that will allow you to spark attention, and make sure that what you are saying is meaningful to the people you are speaking to. As you prepare for a message, there is a certain element that is crucial as it pertains to the people you are speaking to. Realizing that every congregation is different, you must be able to identify certain aspects of your congregation and utilize them in order to maximize the effectiveness of your message. In addition to this, you must be intentional about how you present your message so that your audience can receive it in the way that it is meant to be received.

Chances are, you have sat in a church and listened to a message in which the pastor had no idea how to utilize these key elements of delivering a message. Maybe the pastor was monotone throughout the entirety of the sermon or maybe they talked about subjects that were completely irrelevant to the congregation. You were most likely not engaged in the message and maybe you even found yourself drifting away in your thoughts about something completely irrelevant. This is the type of message that you want to avoid as you speak your audience. You can do this by taking intentional steps to make sure that your message is well-received and relevant.
